Throughout the year we hold two to three events for our members. The main purposes of these events are just to have FUN and give our members the opportunity to collaborate and network among each other. At some events we may also give special recognition to our corporate supporters and celebrate our ongoing successes.

Recent Events
50th Anniversary Golf Tournament & Sports Roundtable
This year, the Buddy Fund reached its 50th Anniversary and to commemorate this momentous event, we enjoyed a beautiful day of golf at Whitmoor Country Club. The event was a tremendous success that capped off the evening by featuring some of our town’s favorite St. Louis Blues players and personalities telling stories and talking shop about all things hockey.
A special thanks to all of those who participated and sponsored this great event. We captured the spirit of the Buddy Fund and the equipment resulting from the generosity of the participants will go a long way to providing disadvantaged youth in our area the opportunity to participate in sports.

2011 Champions For Children Event
On Thursday evening, September 8th the Buddy Fund held the Champion For Children’s event at the Champions Club at Busch Stadium. This was the second year the event has been held.
A very special thanks goes out to our sponsor Forrest Langenfeld, President of Peoples National Bank and his team for their continued support for this fantastic event.
The event featured tours of the stadium and dugout, a silent and oral auction, food, and refreshments. A special “sports celebrity round table” was also held with Whitey Herzog, Rick Hummel, and Andy Van Slyke hosted by Ron Jacober. Other special guests that attended the event included Kim Tucci, Jack “The Ripper” Clark and Fredbird!

Buddy Fund Member Event Held at The Racquet Club East Tim Trout, President of Missouri Professionals Mutual was the sponsor for our Buddy Fund member event held at the Racquet Club East on Monday, June 20th. A great time was had by all meeting current and new prospective members while enjoying complimentary cocktails, appetizers, and smoking fine cigars at the club. |

2011 Buddy Fund Member Appreciation Event
The event was held at the Schlafly’s Bottleworks on Tuesday evening, January 11th, and included Jay Randolph as the key speaker. Newly elected Buddy Fund Chairman, Tom Twellman also thanked over 75 attending members for their continued support. Jim Otis, a St. Louis Football Cardinals favorite was also present at the event. A video was also shown highlighting Bob Costas and testimonials from organization leaders we support. Complimentary beverages and appetizers were served and attendance prizes were given out. There was also a drawing for Roger Wehrli/Jim Otis signed commemorative football. A special thanks goes out to Dignity Memorial for contributing and sponsoring this special event!
