ETHAN TOWNZEN JOINS THE BUDDY FUND BOARD

Tim M. Murch, Chairman of the Buddy Fund, a St. Louis-based charity that provides sports equipment to underserved at-risk youth, announced Ethan Townzen has joined the Board of Operations.

Ethan Townzen was born and raised in Edwardsville, IL, growing up in the St. Louis and Madison County area. He attended Edwardsville High School, where he developed a passion for sports, playing soccer, basketball, and flag football. After high school, he attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), where he discovered his passion for marketing. He began his marketing career working with five major St. Louis radio stations—KSHE 95, 101 ESPN, 105.7 The Point, 106.5 The Arch, and 92.3 New Country—gaining experience in marketing, promotions, and social media.

Introduced to The Buddy Fund by Jayme Bertish, Ethan joined as a marketing intern and was recently appointed Vice Co-Chair of Marketing. Through this role, he helps promote The Buddy Fund’s mission and its impact on at-risk youth in St. Louis. He also serves as the Marketing Specialist at Buske Logistics, connecting with companies in need of warehousing, sequencing, and packaging services.

Outside of work, Ethan enjoys playing soccer, golf, and pickleball, supporting Arsenal Football Club, and spending time with his dog. Having been with The Buddy Fund for nearly two years, he is excited to continue making a difference in the community.

The Buddy Fund is a charity helping St. Louis area children without regard to race, ethnicity or religion. It was founded in 1962 by St. Louis Sportscaster Buddy Blattner to supply new sports equipment to other charities and organizations that used sports to help redirect and change the lives of at-risk underserved youth, including boys and girls clubs, police athletic leagues, homes for kids, community centers and after school programs.
