KEVIN SCHUH JOINS THE BUDDY FUND VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

Kevin Schuh has over 20 years of experience in the sports industry serving organizations and communities. His experience includes event and facility management, sales, recreation program development, budget management, staff development, and organizational leadership. Kevin has held positions with the University of Tennessee, Pittsburgh Pirates, Normal Cornbelters, the City of Ferguson, City of Eureka, and the City of Chesterfield. Currently Kevin is an Account Executive with the Sports Facilities Companies, leading organizations through the process of improving existing operations and/or developing new sports and recreation facilities.

Kevin was born and raised in St. Louis, graduating with a BA and MA from Lindenwood University in Sports Management. He currently lives in Clayton with his wife Meredith and two daughters Emerson and Dylan. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, running, following sports, and hanging out with his family.

His interest in the Buddy Fund stems around the mission of the organization and the mutual passion for serving the community through sports. He strongly believes in the incredible ability sports has in creating strong individuals and communities. It is something he has seen firsthand growing up, early in his career, and now travelling the country and speaking to communities. The opportunities sports can create should be accessible to everybody, regardless of socioeconomic background; and the Buddy Fund does an incredible job of serving in this way.

“To find an organization that shares in the passion of sports, and work with incredible individuals who do this for the betterment of others, is exciting” stated Kevin. This is an organization that aligns with his experience, professional background, and abilities in a way that allows him to provide value to an already successful operation. His hope is that he can add to the Buddy Fund in a meaningful way for the organization and The St. Louis region.

The Buddy Fund is a charity helping St. Louis area children without regard to race, ethnicity or religion. It was founded in 1962 by St. Louis Sportscaster Buddy Blattner to supply new sports equipment to other charities and organizations that used sports to help redirect and change the lives of at-risk underserved youth, including boys and girls clubs, police athletic leagues, homes for kids, community centers and after school programs.
